What documents are needed to obtain a work permit?
The most frequently required are the employer’s documents, the foreigner’s data, a copy of the passport, the draft contract and information on the position and remuneration. The scope of the documents depends on the type of authorisation and the situation of the employee.
How long does the work permit procedure take?
Time depends on the appropriate procedure, completeness of the application and the functioning of the authority. Before starting we explain the current stages, but do not guarantee the date of issue of the document.
Can an employee start working before receiving a decision?
The mere submission of an application for a work permit is not in principle sufficient to start work. Before allowing a foreigner to work, it is necessary to confirm his legal stay and an important basis of work or release from the obligation to have a document.
Do you help prepare documents for your employer and employee?
Yes, to the extent confirmed in the contract. First we determine the right procedure, the obligations of both parties and the list of documents, and then we indicate which actions we perform.
Do work permits also apply to non-EU nationals?
Authorisations primarily concern third-country nationals but there are exceptions to the obligation. Citizenship, residence status and special exemptions must be checked before employment.
