Who can issue an invitation for a foreigner?
The Act identifies specific categories of inviting, among other things, Polish citizens, certain foreigners fulfilling the conditions of residence and legal persons or organizational units established in Poland. Any legal stay of a foreigner alone is not always enough.
What documents are needed to obtain an invitation?
The most frequently required are documents confirming income, residence, identity card and the person invited. In some cases, the authority may request additional annexes.
Do you need income confirmation to issue the invitation?
The inviting person should demonstrate sufficient funds or the ability to cover the foreign national’s stay, accommodation and return costs. The required evidence depends on the inviting person’s circumstances and the invitation period.
How long does the procedure for entering an invitation to register take?
Time depends on the completeness of documents and actions taken by the authority. We do not guarantee an entry date; after analysis we explain the stages and requirements of the competent authority.
Can the authority refuse to issue an invitation?
The Authority may refuse entry in the cases set out in the Act. The invitation entered in the register does not guarantee the visa, crossing the border or the right of residence.
