Frequently asked questions about legalisation of business
The most common questions concern the registration of the company, the choice of the form of activity, taxes and the possibility of conducting business by foreigners in Poland.

What activity can a foreigner establish in Poland?
The possibility of entering CEIDG on such terms as Polish citizens depends on the status of foreigner. In other situations certain companies may be available. The form needs to be chosen after checking the basis for residence and current regulations.
Can you do business without a residence card?
The residence card is not the only document affecting the possibility of doing business. Citizenship and the specific basis of residence are important. Registration of activities does not automatically legalize your stay.
What documents are needed to establish a business?
The basic documents are passport, registration data and, in the case of certain activities, additional documents proving residence status or business address.
Can business be the basis for your stay?
Yes, the pursuit of a business activity may be the basis for obtaining a temporary residence permit provided that certain requirements are met.
How to choose the form of business and taxation?
We assess the legal form in light of the foreign national’s status and planned business model. An accountant or tax adviser should separately assess the tax method and its consequences.
